Sereniel deck with targeted draw to simplify turns

As for most of the decks I try to craft, the main goal is to have a comfy and fun deck that can reliably execute its planned combo while having decent sustain. It is by no means optimized to deal the most damage / one shot bosses.
Most equipments and refinements are suggestions. Some explanations and alternatives can be found in the "Details" section of this guide.
Abc -> Combattant
Abc -> Card
Abc -> Mechanic
Abc / Abc / Abc -> Equipment
[Abc] -> Memory fragment set
Sereniel-Selena decks are extremely common and there isn't usually much variation considering how "simple" the game plan is: play your buffs, spam lasers until you break the enemy's tenacity, restore tenacity with Selena, rinse and repeat.
However, I've often had some issues with these decks, mainly because I ran out of resources (not enough draw) or didn't draw the support cards early enough.
With the new divine epiphanies introduced in Season 3, we now have in our hands some powerful tools which gives us targeted draw (drawing a card of the assigned combattant or a common card). This deck uses these elements to try and make Sereniel even more fun to play.
The setup for this deck is incredibly easy and will most of the time be done during the first turn combo.
Your goal for the setup is to play all the upgrade cards in the deck:
Sniper's Domain -> Always in starting hand (unless Selena is still E0)
Shining Core -> Always in starting hand, make sure you have enough hand space to play it
Pop Eyed Popper -> Best if you can get it in the staring hand, use Joker if needed to play it as soon as possible
Dice Trick -> As long as it is played on turn 1 you'll get all the benefits
After that, simply follow the normal turn guide!
Every turn, you will get Sereniel's 3 Homing Lasers in hand in addition to the usual 5 draw and a random Quest card if you played Dice Trick previously (9 cards total).
If you drew High-Power Scope or Drone Bombing, start your turn with those to enable Selena's Extra Attacks as soon as possible.
If not, playing the Homing Laser with the targeted draw divine epiphany will also have a high chance to get those cards.
Joker can also be used as a last option.
Because all the important cards have the same targeted draw divine epiphany, it creates a 'chain' that will help you obtain all of them much easier. No matter what, you will end up with Attack! as it is the only base common card in the deck (in the worst case scenario, Homing Laser will directly draw Attack! instead of Selena's cards).
Use Attack! to get Cassius' Persona card (or a Devil Dice if the Persona card is already in hand) and play it to get a +150% boost to attack cards for the turn.
From here, you'll have to adapt the plan based on the cards you draw but the objective is always the same (and identical to other Sereniel decks):
While the idea is very simple, here are a few points that may help you:
賽雷妮爾While Theater of Illusions is the easiest Chaos to get good engravings, Sereniel has a lot of good options for equipments in other Chaos.
Weapon
There is no required weapon for this build to work.
Criticism of Discord (Senectus drop) is usually the bis but Sereniel can use a lot of different weapons, including many that can be found in the shop making it easy to build her.
Armor
There is no required armor for this build to work.
Chains of Obsession can work surprisingly well for sustain but you have to make sure Cassius can provide enough healing. Several options from Theater of Illusions can also bring a bit of utility, so take whatever you find while focusing on the engravings. If running Swamp of Judgement, Fairy King's Crown is the best option.
Accessory
There is no required accessory for this build to work.
Similar to equipments, you can pretty much use anything you want for the accessory slot. Dimensional Cube is probably the best in terms of damage increase but even a simple Amorphous Cube can do the job. Swamp of Judgement also has Verdant Shackles while Twin Star's Shadow has Pulsating Egg which are both great stat boosters.
Refinements
If you struggle with hand at the start of each turn, you can change one of the AP lasers to a "Destroy: Add 1 hit" base epiphany (also better if you are good with the AP management)
The "Draw 1 card of this unit" divine epiphany can be used instead of the "Draw 1 common card". It gives more value to the laser itself but makes the start of each turn less consistent. Depending on how the deck feels when you play, you can also use it instead of one of the AP lasers.
While the recommeneded epiphany is the best for damage, it is also possible to use the base version with a "Draw 1" common epiphany (which will activate twice if the enemy is not ravaged) for more draw if needed.
Similarly, the base version of this card can get a "Draw 2" common epiphany, but the cost will jump to 3 AP.
Since this card activates the lasers you already played, it will usually refund its own cost thanks to the two AP lasers. It is also one of the necessary cards for Cassius' "Straight" Quest hence the need to copy it. You can play with a single copy if you want more divine epiphanies, but the deck will probably feel worse.
Extra damage boost for Sereniel while helping with hand space management.
The "30% Damage Increase" engraving is the best option but if everything else is perfect it is fine to use other engravings rather than refarming a deck. Specifically, a "Activate on discard" engraving would not only give an extra 2-cost card to complete Cassius' Quests, but also increase the consistency of his Shuffle.
佩可Peko is Sereniel's signature Partner and the best option for personal damage, granting her a +25% Critical Chance after ravaging an enemy at least once each turn.
百合Yuri is a good F2P alternative if you often have trouble managing your draw, thanks to her EGO skill.
賽麗黛亞Serithea is a decent generic partner if you happen to pick her up from the battle pass.
席琳娜While Theater of Illusions is the easiest Chaos to get good engravings, Swamp of Judgement is the best option for personal damage.
Weapon
There is no required weapon for this build to work.
Tentacles of a Ruined Age (Senectus drop) is the best weapon for supports, however considering Selena is also dealing a lot of damage (possibly more than Sereniel), she can also use Criticism of Discord. Second Method is an easy alternative and any weapon that boosts damage not linked to cards can be used.
Armor
There is no required armor for this build to work.
Shield of the Watcher can give Selena a few Mark procs for more damage. If running Swamp of Judgement, Fairy King's Crown is the best option.
Accessory
There is no required accessory for this build to work.
Just like Sereniel, Dimensional Cube is probably the best in terms of damage increase with Amorphous Cube being the easiest to obtain.
Refinements
The divine epiphany on these cards creates a 'chain' that greatly increases the consistency of the combo every turn. Other draw epiphanies can also work but will feel much worse.
Also note that Drone Bombing will only work if the enemy is already Instinct weak or after Sereniel plays her Plasma Missile.
This deck only runs 3 copies of Tactical Maneuver in favor of more draw epiphanies. This reduces the chance of 'bricking' the hand as even in the worst case you can 'waste' one of these cards to get an extra draw. You could also go for the "Draw 1 common card" divine epiphany on at least one copy to make sure you have a way to recharge tenacity, but this would slightly reduce the consistency of the deck.
This card can be removed if you have no source of Mark in your equipments to get an extra draw on the first turn.
Selena's Persona card has several purposes. The cost increase to 2-cost allows it to be used for Cassius' "Straight" Quest, while still staying in a playable range thanks to Sereniels's AP generation, it can be activated via discard from either Sereniel's Persona card or Cassius' Shuffle, and it is a source of Agony that opens possible equipment and memory fragment options.
The Agony engraving is mostly optional and can be changed to pretty much anything else. If you are really struggling with draw, you can also double the "Activate on discard" engraving but this will change the card to a 3-cost.
瑪琳Marin is probably the best option, with a good passive and draw in her EGO skill.
羅莎莉亞Rosaria is the F2P alternative and is more than enough for all contents.
凱西烏斯It is recommended to run Theater of Illusions as the easiest Chaos to get good engravings or Blue Pot to be able to obtain Torture Toolbox (if it isn't already on another combattant).
Weapon
There is no required weapon for this build to work.
Tentacles of a Ruined Age (Senectus drop) is the best weapon to support the team damage. Since Cassius' damage isn't too important, pretty much any weapon can do.
Armor
Torture Toolbox is needed to easily activate the engraving effects for the whole team. It is higly recommended to have it on at least one combattant in the team.
Accessory
There is no required accessory for this build to work.
Again, since Cassius' damage isn't too important anything can work.
Refinements
For even more consistency on the first turn, it is possible to use the "Draw 1 common card" divine epiphany here as well in exchange for the permanent +20% damage increase.
Other divine epiphanies can also be used, or omit the divine epiphany here to use it on another card / an other common card (note that more common cards will make the start of turn less consistent).
Devil Dice is used as both a free Morale generator and a 1-cost for the "Straight" Quest.
As this specific divine epiphany can be annoying to farm, a simple cost reduction divine epiphany will also work perfectly (though it will be harder to complete all 3 "Straight" Quests every turn).
This card can be removed or switched to another version if you don't like it as it is quite RNG, but considering most 0-cost cards will be drawn / played at the start of each turn it isn't too bad. If it does end up discarding the cards, it can still activate Selena's Persona card as well as help with some equipment / engraving effects.
You can also consider adding a divine epiphany on this card instead of Pop Eyed Popper for extra draw or AP.
If you struggle with hand space at the start of every turn, you can consider removing this card or switching to the other upgrade epiphany for more sustain. It is, however, a potential free draw every turn.
I wouldn't recommend using a cost reduction divine epiphany on this card as Sereniel will often generate way too much AP anyways and a permanent morale is usually better.
Try to keep this card in hand until you have no other options so it can serve as a litteral 'joker'. Considering you will usually have more than enough AP, there is no reason to remove this card.
Gives an unconditionnal +150% damage boost to attack cards (sadly doesn't affect Selena's Extra Attacks) which you are guaranteed to get early every turn thanks to the targeted draw 'chain' and Attack!. Any attack Persona can work. The Shockwave one is a good option to have a bit of AoE while the Death Brand one will scale every turn for longer fights. The action count increase can also be an alternative to Torture Toolbox if needed.
This card closes the targeted draw 'chain' and allows you to always get Cassius' Persona card early every turn. Any common epiphany can be used, you can also consider adding a divine epiphany on this card instead of Pop Eyed Popper for extra draw or AP.
妮克絲Nyx is the best option for almost all Controller combattants (appart from their signature partner) with a team-wide buff in her passive and hand cycling in her EGO skill.
百合Sadly, most of the other Controller partners don't bring much to the team. As such, Yuri is actually a decent option if only for the draw from her EGO skill.
Full Scale Offensive: Watch on Google Drive
The damage values are skewed since there is a 50% boost for 0-cost cards, but the basics of the deck can be seen properly.
I stopped after the second turn since the score was already enough for 3 stars, but going the full 10 turns would yield around 1.3M.
Spiral Tower of Screams: Watch on Google Drive
A very straightforward run. None of the enemies had enough health to take the full combo and even the last boss was defeated in a single turn without being able to deal a single damage thanks to Cassius' Morale debuff.
Because there are a lot of enemies, it is easy to ravage when you want, but it also means your deck will be a bit clogged with lasers which can lead to bad hands.
I also tend to forget to use the EGO skills. Cassius' in particular can get you out of a bricked hand.
Personal deck score (1=bad, 5=good)
Deck obtention: 3 -> The "Treated as a Common Card" and "Apply Combo" divine epiphanies can be annoying to get since only a single God has it in their pool of effects. Everything else, however, is pretty easy if you're not aiming for the same engraving thrice and Senectus weapons.
Ease of use: 4 -> The basics are pretty straightforward and once the setup is completed and Quest cards start getting generated for extra draw, it is rare to get a fully bricked hand. Proper resource management (especially with Cassius' Quest conditions) still mean you need to think about what you are doing if you want to play efficiently.
Power: 5 -> While probably not as good as a fully optimized deck, the damage output here is extremely respectable and can clear most (if not all) content without any issues.
Sustain: 4 -> Enemies will usually die before they can act thanks to the action increase brought by Torture Toolbox. Cassius' Morale debuff on the enemies is also quite potent and will reduce incoming damage to acceptable values if they do manage to act.
Total: 16/20
