Updated 7/13: As Season 3 is over, the previous versions of Cassius & Selena's decks are highly impractical to build now. The current iterations are feasible with save data editing. I've included context in the [Deckbuilding] sections for if you are fortunate enough to find extra Dream Worlds during a run.

Disclaimer: This team comp is designed for Tower, Passion-weak bosses, or when paired with E6 HDMI as Selena can then drop a 3rd copy of Drone Bombing. I've included a section at the bottom in case you want to adjust Selena's deck to include a 3rd copy.

Deck Description: This team uses the Dream World engine to buff and support HDMI & Selena's Sword Rain III interaction. This particular iteration seeks to balance damage ceiling, consistency, & ease of use. An alternative for more damage will be discussed in [Persona Alternative] section.

How the Deck Works:

This team utilizes the Wedding Ring trinket, Persona cards, Cassius cards, & HDMI's Link mechanic to discard Dream World cards which can cascade into discarding more of them, and triggering Quietus cards & equipment effects.
Once Effulgent Expansion IV is discarded (which Dream World or the Wedding Rings will likely accomplish), HDMI's Sword Rain III is ready to use. Every attack from Sword Rain III will trigger Selena's follow-up attacks, resulting in 20-25 attacks in total per Sword Rain III.

Piloting the Deck:

Play out upgrades.
Play Selena's skills.
Play Cassius' Devil Dice if needed to discard Personas/Dream Worlds.
Play Cassius Quest cards as needed for draw/healing.
Play 1x Sword Rain III to trigger Cassius' Quest and gain morale.
Play Selena's Persona to apply mark.
If against a single target, play 1 Cassius Quest attack card to trigger 1 Mark, leaving 11 Mark left.
- 1 Mark will translate to 5 attacks with Sword Rain III so there is no functional difference between 11-12 Mark.
Play the rest of HDMI's Sword Rain III's.

Tips:

Play Selena's skill cards before Cassius & HDMI's attacks for maximum benefit.
Hero to All IV is flexible in targets. Cassius' Pop Eyed Popper is the highest priority upgrade to play out. Linking either Cassius / HDMI's Persona & 1 of Selena's skills grant another way to discard.

Deck breakdowns & alternatives:

Cassius:

Cassius with 4x Dream World can generate up to 20-23 Morale a turn. In comparison, 4x Devil Dice yields 11-14 Morale and the "Attack neutral + Persona" variant yields 10-13 Morale & 150% ally card damage, making Dream World the premium option for buffing HDMI & Selena's Sword Rain III interaction.

We keep 1 basic card as that lets us duplicate Dream World a third time. From my play testing, the increased consistency and ceiling of 4x Dream World more than offset keeping 1 basic brick.

Now that S3 is over, rerolling chaos for Dream World takes much more time and finding a 2nd or 3rd copy during a run is incredibly rare. Should you be so lucky, you can opt out of duplicating Dream World a 3rd time, saving 40 points.

2 Dream World? Remove the basic card, Divine Pop-Eyed Popper (ex. Morale), or Divine Devil Dice (ex. -1 cost, Weakness Attack: Decrease Fortitude).
1 Dream World? Do 2 of the above 3 options.

Cassius is chosen due to deck thinning via upgrades, ability to discard, positive card draw, and defensive utility.

Nia is the next best option thanks to Adagio & Soul Riff.

Selena:

When running in the Tower or when using E6 HDMI, Selena can omit a 2nd copy of Drone Bombing, freeing up enough memory to run 2-3x Dream World. This grants her a few advantages, namely triggering Prelude to Hero & Dimensional Cube as well as increased card draw.

[Negotiate] & [Quick Shelling] are strong alternatives to the Morale Divine on Drone Bombing V.

The "Draw 1 Common Card" divine epiphany is very strong for High-Power Scope IV & Drone Bombing IV, but the standard "Draw 1" divine is much easier to get and is still great.

Equipment:

At least 1 Wedding Ring trinket is required, but I would recommend at least 2 for consistency.

At least 1 Torture Toolbox (or other equipment/engraving that increases Action Count) is recommended to trigger the +50% Damage Amount engraving and help against certain enemies.

Cassius:

The Psionic Combat Suit is an alternative armor, but I prefer Torture Toolbox's utility.

Engraving to chase is:

When Action Count of enemies is increased by allies, +50% Damage Amount to ally Attack Cards for 1 turn.
When a Quietus card is Discarded through an ability by allies, Draw 1.

HDMI:

You can choose to run Wedding Ring on Selena instead, opting for Verdant Night & Fairy King's Crown (found in Swamp of Judgment) on HDMI for more damage.

Engravings to chase are:

When 5 or more cards have been created through abilities by allies, +30% Damage Amount to Extra Attacks of this unit.
On Extra Attack, 1 Morale for 1 turn.
When Action Count of enemies is increased by allies, +50% Damage Amount to ally Attack Cards for 1 turn.
When 7 or more cards are in Graveyard, increase Damage Amount of Attack Cards of this unit by 30%.

Selena:

As Selena needs to run Theater of Illusions, she can take the Wedding Ring trinket, but Dimensional Cube is a nice damage boost for her due to her many attacks.

Persona Alternative

For HDMI, the Persona listed is another way to trigger the Dream World cascade and helps boost consistency at the cost of damage.

The "Discard up to 2 cards, For each Discarded, +60% Damage Amount to Attack Cards of this unit for 1 turn" Persona card is a strong alternative, especially in FSO.

I tested a version with "When this card is Discarded, activate this card" & "Increase Damage Amount of Attack Cards of this unit by 30% for 1 turn" to good effect and doubling up on the "When this card is Discarded, activate this card" would potentially be stronger.

If running this Persona, I would suggest keeping HDMI's signature (Effulgent Compression) and changing Cassius' Persona to also double up on the same "Activate when discarded" engraving to give her more targets to discard. This Persona would also be a priority target to link with Hero to All IV / Sylvia.

Can I run Selena with 3x Drone Bombing?

This is possible, but would strongly incentivize finding 1 more copy of Dream World during the run. Hero to All I or Hero to All IV may help the increase in draw demands. Changing Selena's Persona to a draw Persona may also help.

Advice on farming Cassius' deck

When farming Cassius' deck, it's best to have 180 save data limit as Dream World copies take up a lot.

I would suggest removing Devil Dice or Shuffle during the run and adding it back via save data editing to ensure that Dream World is a duplicate target.
